National Forgiven Summit

One of the darkest chapters in Canadian history is that of residential schools.  Established by the federal government and operated by the Christian churches, the schools took young children away from their families in a misguided attempt to "Christianize" them.  First peoples were stripped of their cultural identity, forbidden to speak their languages, and suffered terrible physical, emotional and sexual abuse.  Whole generations were profoundly wounded.

On June 11, 2008, Prime Minister Stephen Harper extended an apology and asked for forgiveness of the First Nations, Inuit and Metis people for historic wrongs, and for the abuses many aboriginal people experienced in residential schools in Canada.  Visit www.i4give.ca to watch the apology.

Since this time, a number of First Peoples leaders had begun to feel impressed by the Lord that it was not enough for their people to simply acknowledge the government's repentance.  They needed to take the next spiritual step of releasing forgiveness.  They have been traveling across Canada to prepare the people's hearts to release fogiveness.  Visit www.i4give.ca to read more about the JOURNEY OF FORGIVENESS.

June 11-13, 2010 representatives and leaders from Canada's First Nations, Inuit and Metis communities, along with believers from across Canada will gather at the Ottawa Civic Centre to formally and publicly extend forgiveness to the Government of Canada at the National Forgiven Summit.

Join us at Lion of Judah Ministries Friday, June 11, 4-7pm, Saturday, June 12, 4-7pm, and Sunday, June 13, 4-7pm to gather with believers from across the nation and stand with our brothers and sisters in this historic event.

This event will be live streamed in the hospitality room.  No child care is provided.  Please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for further details.
